Notice On The Opening Of The Chinese Visa Application Service Center In Phnom Penh


To improve services to Chinese visa applicants in Cambodia, starting from March 25, 2024, the Embassy will entrust the Chinese Visa Application Service Center in Phnom Penh (hereinafter referred to as the "Visa Application Center") to accept visa and authentication applications of ordinary passports non-Chinese holders.  Applicants shall log on to the Visa Application Center website (www.visaforchina.cn) to fill in the application form online and then go to the Visa Application Center for processing. The Embassy will no longer directly accept visa and authentication applications from ordinary passport holdersafter the visa center officially operates.

Application submission: 9:00 to 15:00


Visa collection: 9:00 to 16:00.  


The visa center will start trial operation from March 25 to 27, 2024 (no service fee will be charged during the trial operation period), and will officially operate on March 28, 2024.


1.The Visa Application Center makes no decision on visa approval. The Embassy will decide whether to issue a visa, its validity, duration of stay and number of entries based on applicants’ personal circumstances. The consular officer may request the applicant to provide additional supporting documents or supplementary materials or an interviewaccording to the specific situation.


2.In addition to the visa fee and express service fee collected on behalf of the Embassy, the Visa Application Center will charge a service fee. For more information, please contact the Visa Application Center orrefer to its website. 


3.Please be advised that except for the Chinese Visa Application Service Center in Phnom Penh, the Embassy has not entrusted other institutions or individuals to accept Chinese visa applications.


4.Applicants holding diplomatic or service/official passports or applying for Chinese diplomatic, courtesy or service visas shall continue to submit applications directly to the Embassy.


5.This circular is subject to the interpretation of the Chinese Embassy in Cambodia.
